As for your observations, I do agree most of our emotive issues lie in childhood and I don't think you're alone in underlining it (I mean, that's what therapy has been about for almost a century and people are turning a bit less deaf on it).
Memories change a lot within time (this break-up took place a long ago).
I also believe some people are more "accurate" than others.
As for your final answer, I didn't hide that I think all three of us have their faults in here (it actually was in the original subtitle).
The difference with blaming lies in awarding a "better/worse" position and that was I was trying to question.
