I worked as a subtitle translator for several years and I got into quality check and proof reading of giga-movies and TV shows. Basically, my browser tabs were always opened on at least one dictionary. Yet, I’m not native, and I come from a verbose language. So, anytime Grammarly questioned something I wrote, I fell into the oblivion.

I ended up using it the way you do.

Same goes for HemingwayApp. While it sure helps to have an idea of where my most complex sentences are situated, I believe we cannot all be concise. It kills personal style and the diverse visions you can bring to the table.
